Best 100 Songs by AudiomachineBest Electronic Songs Review: Collection of 100 Songs by electronic orchestral music artists, Audiomachine.

If you love the intense, heart pounding sound of masterfully crafted cinematic music, Audiomachine has produced some of today’s best electronic orchestral songs in the cinematic music genre.

For a couple of years I have been listening to the powerful, epic songs composed by Audiomachine. I have a deep admiration for every album Audiomachine has produced, and I am certain their fans would agree.

The pair of artists Paul Dinletir and Kevin Rix has acquired a huge following by producing music for motion picture advertising, including songs for the film and television industries, theatrical trailers, video game advertising and official music for the Olympic Games.

Since their introduction in August of 2005 their work has become so prevalent I would be willing to say you have heard their music played in television commercials or a movie trailer in the theater.

If you watch the Olympic Games you have most likely heard songs by Audiomachine since they produced the promo music heard in television network NBC and Olympic Games promotional campaigns.

Olympic Album by AudiomachineTwo of Audiomachine’s fan favorite songs were played in this year’s Sochi Winter Olympics, plus two songs were selected as the official promotional music for the London Summer Olympic Games in 2012 and Vancouver Winter Olympic Games in 2010.

The newest EP album for 2014 by Audiomachine is Champions Will Rise: Epic Music From The 2014 Winter Olympics. The 4 songs on Champions Will Rise are an impressive mix too, having been selected as the official music by the International Olympic Committee and NBC during their worldwide promotional campaigns for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics.

Audiomachine’s first album Chronicles with 28 epic songs was the first marketed release that began procuring the substantial fan base they have acquired today. The team’s second and third albums Epica, with 12 songs, and Helios, with 13 songs, is a wonderful collection of equally impressive songs created in their bold signature style.

100 Best Electronic SongsThe fourth 2013 album by Paul Dinletir and Kevin Rix, with 26 songs, Tree of Life and 2013 album Existence, with 18 songs, are skillfully created masterpieces. Another EP album with 3 songs released in 2013 is titled Trilogy. These 6 albums combined make up one of the best collections of epic, electronic orchestral songs to date.

To give you an idea of how accepted the high-profile music produced by Paul and Kevin has become today, ratings and reviews at Amazon are continually given 5 stars by nearly every album reviewer who has purchased their songs or albums. Similarly their Facebook likes are presently at 63, 876, after joining the social site several years ago.

Best-selling albums at CDBaby, listed the soundtrack music of the group Immediate Music, Hans Zimmer, and new age music artists Two Steps From Hell similar in style to Audiomachine.

I have listened to the soundtrack genre groups Epic North and Future World Music is likewise comparable in some respects, but non-victorious over the two titans of electronic orchestral music,  Audiomachine. Knowing their Olympic status and impressive fan base, selecting Audiomachine for Best Electronic Music in 2013 was well, automatic.

Visit AudioMachine.com to hear their official Olympic music album Champions Will Rise, and listen to songs on these albums by Paul Dinletir and Kevin Rix. Soundtrack ReviewAward-winning Soundtrack: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

This week Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross earned a GRAMMY® Award in the Best Score Soundtrack For Visual Media Category for their soundtrack score The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. Identical to the movie itself, this lengthy soundtrack with 39 songs paints a dark and deeply mysterious sound-scape by the two artist’s electronic score composed from an equally enigmatic viewpoint.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo SoundtrackHowever when listening to this award-winning soundtrack outside the context of the movie, does The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo still earn the appreciation it deserves? This appears to be the case. The Social Network Soundtrack from 2010, which won a Golden Globe and Academy Award, is another prize movie score of Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross earning this team well-deserved admiration of music buffs and moviegoers alike.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Soundtrack by itself is a masterful collection of electronic music. Now given the prestige of award-winning status and the backing of the motion picture regarded as an epic thriller, this cinematic movie soundtrack by itself has become a success by progressing into the popular arena of a trendy modern classic.

The soundtrack with 39 songs is available in a 3 audio CD box set or mp3 digital downloads. The song video shown below is the 8 minute long Official Trailer with background score. Find The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo at Amazon.com. Cover courtesy Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

With the close of the calendar year nearly upon us, time passes with the rhythm and tempo of a metronome in the days prior to the final countdown to New Year’s Day 2013.

Hello everyone, my name is John P. Olsen. In my role as interview host and review publicist at New Age Music World, I was given the opportunity to sample or review many of the best electronic albums and songs electronic music artists worldwide produced and sent to me during 2012.

Resembling the cadence of a metronome as well were the new albums arriving at nearly the same pace and frequency. The high volume of albums made me even more determined to present to you the finest electronic albums from 2012.

Like previous years, I wrote album review publications or sampled a respectable number of albums released in 2012, of the nearly 200 releases in all music categories sent to me for album review consideration this year.

For the artist specializing in electronic music high-tech synthesizers and equipment are the instruments used to create an extraordinary orchestra of sound. The latest technological innovations have enabled creators of electronic music to design ingenious compositions using computers, keyboards and the latest music software programing.

Even to the music purists who favor live instrumentals, artists who compose and record electronic music are likewise identified for their talent. Clearly their artistry is equal to the artist who plays a real orchestral instrument. Another undeniable element is the select number of top quality albums produced by today’s best artists in the Electronic music genre.

The year 2012 was an exceptional year for some of the finest new songs and albums in the categories of instrumental, new age, soundtrack and world music, and I can tell you electronic music is not the exception. Today I am pleased to present my yearly award recommendation for the best electronica releases I sampled or reviewed in 2012.

Best Electronic Albums & Songs in 2012.

1. Oceans by 7and5.

First on the list of best electronic albums in 2012 is the Oceans album with 10 vibrant songs by 7and5. The artist title 7and5 is the name independent artist John H. Nixon creates inspiring electronic music. Earlier 7and5 albums In A Moment’s Time, Trading Stories & Hope, Destiny, & Choice, are some of my personal favorites. If you are like me, dynamic energy and upbeat rhythms are the qualities I admire most about 7and5 music.

The Weather Channel, with millions of U.S. television viewers nationwide, is one source where songs by 7and5 are often heard during TWC’s Local on the 8’s weather radar. Known for its cinematic qualities, music by 7and5 often makes TWC’s popular playlists, and was also selected for The Weather Channel’s Top 10 Viewer’s Best Music of 2011 list. The 10 vibrant songs on Oceans easily made my favorite album list in the new age electronic, chill out, techno category. Sample or purchase Oceans at 7and5Music.com.

2. Windows by Bryan Carrigan.

The ambient electronic album Windows is one of the most exclusive music releases in this Best Electronic Albums publication. This is due to the experience of the Los Angeles, California based artist Bryan Carrigan, a multiple award-winning producer and owner of Precision Sonic Studio. It was only recently he began producing music in his own name. After Passing Lights & Focus in 2011 is third electronica album Windows, with 10 songs.

The 10 songs on Windows are designed and professionally layered with elegant precision. Windows is an intriguing album and one of the best in the ambient new age music style. Bryan Carrigan is famous for his work in the Hollywood film industry and recording studios by his role of producer, engineer, synth programmer, and sound designer for superstars like Aerosmith, Alanis Morissette, Barry Manilow, Frank Sinatra, No Doubt, Quincy Jones and Vanessa Williams. You may sample or purchase Windows at BryanCarrigan.com.

3. Liquid Mind X: Meditation by Chuck Wild.

Liquid Mind albums, including this newest release with 6 songs by Emmy® Nominated songwriter and recording artist Chuck Wild are already a chosen winner in many respects by consistently making popular best album lists and chart topping positions. Case in point is the most recent chart success for Liquid Mind X: Meditation by acquiring the #1 position on the iTunes USA Top 10 New Age Chart in September of 2012.

Chuck Wild has acquired prestigious awards and recognition for his music, but let’s not overlook the fact Liquid Mind albums and songs are simply some of the best music made for relaxation, sleep, and mediation. Chuck Wild is a master at producing calming music, and never has it shone more clearly than the elegant ballet of ambient sound you will hear on his newest album Liquid Mind X: Mediation. Find more great albums by Chuck Wild and sample or purchase Liquid Mind X Meditation at LiquidMindMusic.com.

4.  Family Values by Craig Karolus.

The new album Family Values with 8 songs is an admirable electronic music release by independent artist Craig Karolus. Family Values is a tribute album dedicated to celebrate the lives of living family members, and of four beloved family members of Craig Karolus who passed away in 2011. Although the circumstance of this tribute album is deeply personal, Craig has openly expressed each song by a magnificent illustration, expertly adapted to thoughtfully reflect his family member’s personal character in song.

Craig Karolus has only recently begun to market his music, but I also thought Craig is one of the best new artists. His debut album Standing On Top from 2011 is another fine album I believe is of the highest quality like Craig’s 2012 release Family Values. The significance and depth of his tribute music to family members is inspiring, clearly reflected in his graceful and elegant new album. Find Family Values at CraigKarolus.com.

5. Connected by David Wright.

Connected is an electronic instrumental album with fine vocal overlays by leading UK artist and producer David Wright. The 14 songs on his twenty-fourth release Connected are masterfully created in David Wright’s signature style, which as a whole is comprised of nearly the entire range of musical tastes. It’s David’s expertise in an all-inclusive style, and sense of adventure that decisively makes Connected his best album to date.

Producer of award-winning music like the epic album Connected, David Wright is founder of the popular UK Based AD Music Label, and co-founded the electronic rock group Code Indigo. Other ventures are an electronic music project with David Massey named Callisto, and new age group named Trinity. David Wright is also the owner of Planet Recording Studio, which provides the audio mastering services for many AD Music label albums. Sample or purchase Connected at ADMusicOnline.com and DavidWrightMusic.com.

6. Exogenesis by Eloy Fritsch.

For Brazilian electronic music composer Eloy Fritsch, his fascination with synthesizer music has transitioned into an equally fascinating discography of synthesizer based electronic albums over the years. When sampling songs from his albums, I discovered the award-winning composer’s new 2012 album Exogenesis a progressive stride beyond the majority of electronic releases from 2012, easily making the best electronic albums list.

Eloy Fritsch has a diverse repertoire while composing electronic symphonies, exploring the categories of synth pop, new age and space music, along with founding the Brazilian progressive rock band Apocalypse. The 13 songs on Exogenesis are extraordinary, finding inspiration in the arrangements of Jean Michel Jarre, Vangelis, Klaus Schulze, Rick Wakeman, Keith Emerson and Kraftwork. However it’s clear Eloy Fritsch invents original compositions in his own masterful style. Sample or purchase Exogenesis at Ef.Mus.br.

7. Mysterious Garden by Julian Ray.

For Canadian recording artist Julian Ray producing electronic music on today’s technologically advanced equipment is more than an excellent way to express the unlimited boundaries of one’s creativity and imagination. For Julian keyboards and synthesizers are essential instruments used to create sonic harmonies like heard on his newest album in 2012 titled Mysterious Garden. The 10 original songs are arranged in his signature style, which is remarkably unique and far from commonplace.

Mysterious Garden is a new recording showing an array of Julian’s unique style as a producer of ambient space music. Decisively dissimilar all from other electronic music composers, Julian Ray is a member of the Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada, (SOCAN), and is actively working on his newest project for 2013. Visit Julian Ray to sample or purchase Mysterious Gardens at JulianRayMusic.com.

8. Alive by Mark Barnes.

Multiple award winning composer and producer Mark Barnes has another hit album by the 2012 release Alive, which features 20 brilliant electronic, instrumental songs. Alive is comprised of dramatic instrumental music set to cutting edge electronics. Every single song on Alive is animated with a cinematic atmosphere that can only be described as beautiful. The Awakening & Temporal Infinity are earlier releases you are sure to love.

Mark Barnes has the honor and distinction of producing award-winning music, including a prestigious Hollywood F.A.M.E. Award for Music & Cinema. Mark Barnes won the Best Original Song composition at the 2011 TCI Film Festival, with co-writer and two-times Academy Award Nominee Carol Connors, for a documentary-drama film score song titled A City Within A Dream. Mark Barnes has a flair for producing award-winning music, and this is true for 2012 release Alive. Sample or purchase Alive at MarkBarnesMusic.com.

9. In Mutatio Tempora by Matzumi.

The album In Mutatio Tempora with 10 songs is a brilliant electronic music release sent to me by an artist who lives in Germany. Some of the information about her was in German so I can’t tell you as much about her except Kathrin Manz is the artist who goes by Matzumi. Kathrin Manz performs live concerts in Europe, and in my eyes, qualifies as one of the very best albums I have listened to this year in the Electronic, Ambient genre.

One interesting aspect of Kathrin Manz is her style, which conveys an elegant synthesis of ambient, techno, house music, and electronic dance in the fashion of Tangerine Dream, yet shows her gifted ability as composer of original music. Like Tangerine Dream, songs by Matzumi are cinematic, and a precise fit for the Film Score and Soundtrack genres. In Mutatio Tempora, on the Wolf Entertainment Label is an electronic album fans of Tangerine Dream would love. Sample or purchase In Mutatio Tempora at Matzumi.de.

10. Drifting In Dreams by Michele Ippolito.

For classical trained pianist Michele Ippolito, the 11 songs on Drifting In Dreams is the perfect way to share the joyful expression of her uplifting ambient song melodies to others. Performing on a Roland 90EX keyboard, Michele Ippolito is joined with co-producer of Drifting In Dreams, Vince Ippolito. So you know, Vince Ippolito is a performing artist and leading producer working with countless celebrity names in the music industry.

Michele Ippolito’s music is a calming wave of ambience, showing her skill as a composer at the professional level. Michele’s first album Mystic Moods is airing at Music Choice Soundscape Channel, and made radio charts and Best Album Nominations at ZMR, like second album In The Clouds. They also own a professional recording studio in Dixon, Illinois named Ippolito Recording/Production Company. Visit the professional team of Michele and Vince and sample or purchase Drifting In Dreams at Vippolito.com.

11. Kailasa by Mingo.

Mingo is an outstanding electronic music composer with an interesting history, even more so by his 2012 album titled Kailasa, with 10 songs superbly acclimated to the variety of ambient new age music. Mingo made his mark by emerging into the techno scene of the early 1990′s, exploring an ecosphere of electronica styles ranging from ambient, new age, space music, synthpop, and into the realm of experimental, futuristic avant-garde.

Early success resulted in worldwide recognition and airtime on online radio stations like National Public Radio (NPR) program Hearts of Space, and one of the longest airing ambient, space music radio programs named Stars End. Mingo’s inventive persona is unmistakable in Kailasa, an outstanding song collection aimed towards the ambient new age domain. Find more electronica albums by Mingo like Relaxation Series: Zen Ultra, The Light That Bends, Narcosys, and sample or purchase Kailasa at MingoSphere.com.

12. Deep Alpha by Steven Halpern.

Deep Alpha has a unique distinction in this best electronic album awards publication by Steven Halpern’s Nomination for Best Album in the 55th GRAMMY® Awards set for February 10, 2013. With 14 songs at over an hour in length, Deep Alpha is an exceptional blend of electronic instrumental music from esteemed artist Steven Halpern. Nearing a 40 year milestone in his career his albums frequently make the Top 10 Charts at Billboard.

The best-selling recording artist Steven Halpern is accepted as one of the earliest originators of healing music. With over 6 million albums sold, accolades for his music are just as numerous. New Album Review – Boundaries of Imagination by Bryan El.

The year 2012 wouldn’t have been the same without another new album, EP or new songs by the sensational electronic music composer Bryan El.

For the artist from Belgium who specializes in electronic music it has now become clear after his third release there is a conscious effort made on his part to focus on quality verses quantity, with his classical symphonic music.

Two years in the making, this is proven to be the case behind his quality driven 13 new songs on his album in 2012 titled Boundaries of Imagination.

Bryan El’s earlier albums Out of this World from 2008, and Spiritual Evolution from 2010, are some of the best electronic albums in the classical symphonic, music categories. With the introduction of high-tech electronic equipment and newest synthesizers arrives a new-found sense of empowerment, especially when placed in the hands of a great composing artist like Bryan El whose electronic music is brilliantly delivered, time and again with jaw dropping effect.

Boundaries of Imagination is comparable to Out of this World & Spiritual Evolution by the unique Bryan El signature sound recognizable from the beginning song, but there are several distinctions with the 13 new electronic songs from his first two releases.

Boundaries of Imagination is perhaps lighter or more refined than the first two, but a dazzling album focused on intricate detailing and deep melodic phrasing fans are sure to enjoy. Another point of interest I thought significance is the song Angels Cry which features the elegant vocalist Amethyste, whose singing clearly delivers the lyrical verses written by Michael Leonard and Bryan El in wonderful fashion.

It may be unclear if Bryan El is shifting more toward the territory of electronic pop or not, but no matter which direction he travels going forward, it’s like the title of his dazzling new hit album implies, it will arrive at the outer boundaries of imagination.

You may sample or purchase albums on Bryan’s page at AMAdeaRecords.com, and visit the artist at BryanEl.com. Cover artwork is courtesy Davy El.

Pre-release Review: The Fire in the Flint by John Adorney & Daya.

Instrumental new age recording artist John Adorney has a sensational new follow-up to his most recent releases John Adorney & Daya – Live! In Concert, River of Breath & The Fountain, all of which are quality releases.

John Adorney’s earliest albums like Trees of Gold, Waiting for the Moon, The Other Shore & Beckoning are similarly top shelf recordings from the award-winning artist who consistently delivers an exciting blend of modern acoustic instrumental and electronic song melodies with pronounced rhythm, grace and style.

The Fire in the Flint is a 10 song collection of John Adorney’s best songs for 2012. For over 25 years, John Adorney has been capturing the hearts and minds of people with his inspiring music, young and old alike. After listening to his newest album The Fire in The Flint, I am happy to say upfront this year is no exception, and clearly everyone will love John Adorney’s new instrumental and vocal album.

The Fire in the Flint has everything you would hope to find in an instrumental with vocals release, but there is something more if you look a little closer. While the music of John Adorney is most often associated in the style of contemporary new age instrumental and world music, the 10 songs on The Fire in the Flint incorporate a broader variation in his eloquent style that appeals to a wider variety of people.

This universal theme quality has always been present, but The Fire in the Flint, is articulated to the fullest which should increase likeability of his newest arrangement to an even broader audience.

If you are an admirer of John Adorney’s earlier albums, you too will say The Fire in the Flint is a wonderful collection of his best songs to date. The eloquent vocals by Daya and cultural African vocals provided by Marcel Adjibi are brilliantly intertwined with a full acoustic ensemble of instrumental professionals.

The Fire in the Flint is an inspiring blend of vocal harmony paired with contemporary instrumentals and upbeat world rhythms that embrace a popular music theme sure to be loved by everyone.

John Adorney performs acoustic and electric guitars, keyboards, dulcimer, cello and banjo, while Daya lends her vocal talents on 4 of the 10 songs. Additional artists are Marcel Adjibi (vocals), Richard Hardy (alto and bamboo flutes), Adam Adorney (strum stick and handclaps), Nathan Adorney (violin, mandolin and handclaps), Abby Adorney and Deborah Press (handclaps) and Luise Kallenberg (bells).

The 10 songs on The Fire in the Flint are; 1. TheEndless Rain – featuring Daya, 2. The Fire in the Flint, 3. Aliho Houn/The Path is Open – featuring Marcel Adjibi, 4. A Beggar’s Fortune, 5. The Heart Cloth – featuring Daya, 6. Sailing by Starlight – featuring Daya, 7. A Moment Noticed – featuring Richard Hardy, 8. Always Remembering You – featuring Daya, 9. Admiration (2012 mix), 10. Dawn.

The Fire in the Flint will be an official release at major music stores November 13, 2012, but you may sample and purchase now exclusively at JohnAdorney.com and Eversound.com. Cover artwork and band photos are courtesy johnadorney.com.

Best New Albums from the London 2012 Olympic Games Composer Vangelis – The Collection & Chariots of Fire (The Play).

Vangelis fans will be pleased to know there are 2 albums of new music by Vangelis in 2012, and the possibly of another new movie soundtrack by the famous Olympic composer Vangelis. For the millions of fans who can’t get enough new music from the legendary musician, the year 2012 has already turned out to be an exciting year by the international publicity derived from the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Vangelis – The Collection is a 2 disc selection of 31 songs total. Many are the most popular songs recorded from earlier movie soundtrack scores. It can be said this collection is the best songs from the best Vangelis albums available.

Vangelis – The Collection has the best soundtrack songs from popular movie scores like 1492: Conquest of Paradise, Blade Runner, Alexander, and Academy Award-winning movie score Chariots of Fire, plus additional film scores.

There are 4 Jon & Vangelis songs when recorded with former YES vocalist and lyricist Jon Anderson too. The four Jon & Vangelis songs are So Long Ago, So Clear, I’ll Find My Way Home, State Of Independence & I Hear You Now. Another song favorite on this special 31 song collection album is Anthem – 2002 FIFA World Cup Official Anthem (Synthesizer Version).

Chariots of Fire (The Play) by Vangelis, is another new album brought into news publicity by the release days prior to the London 2012 Olympic Games. It is an exemplary release too, but I would say Vangelis – The Collection can be rightly called the ultimate selection of the greatest hit songs by Vangelis. Whether you call it instrumental music, electronic, orchestral, or new age music, Vangelis is a masterful film composer whose classic songs have endured throughout the years.

Vangelis fans and movie goers alike will also be pleased to know there is confirmation of a brand new sequel to the classic science fiction thriller movie Blade Runner. Thirty years after it first was released, the official Blade Runner Trilogy Soundtrack is still one of the best movie soundtracks ever produced by Vangelis. Now there is at least, an opening for another new Vangelis film score made specifically for the new Blade Runner movie sequel.

While a Warner Bros. based Alcon Entertainment press release confirmed they are indeed featuring the 1982 cult movie classic sequel, again with director Ridley Scott, there is at present no confirmation of who will be providing the movie score for the Blade Runner sequel. Another aspect to consider is that Vangelis may not agree to compose music for the sequel. However the possibility of another new Vangelis soundtrack has given fans another reason for enthusiasm in 2012 and 2013.

One thing certain to me and millions of Vangelis fans however. The original Blade Runner movie score by Vangelis is an integral part of the movie that in part, drove the Blade Runner motion picture to its present day cult-like status. There are many proponents who would agree that a Blade Runner movie sequel simply wouldn’t achieve the same phenomenal success without a new Vangelis Blade Runner soundtrack.

There are some people saying that even Vangelis himself, couldn’t compose a superior music score than the original soundtrack, but I tend to disagree. Only time will tell the answer to that question, and the primary question of whether there we will be rewarded with another new soundtrack by Vangelis in the year 2013, and the years ahead.

You can find Vangelis – The Collection at Amazon.com.uk and the London 2012 Olympics Games inspired newest Vangelis soundtrack Chariots of Fire (The Play) at Amazon.com. Both are available in digital audio CD or mp3 format at U.S. and UK Amazon stores.

Oceans by 7and5 – Pre-release New Age Album Review.

The advance in technological innovations has made an impact on everyone, including new age artists who create ingenious compositions of electronic music with computers, keyboards and the latest music software programing. In some cases, it’s a real challenge to determine whether instrumentals are produced by live performers, or an electronic orchestra created by one talented artist.

7and5 is the name in which independent artist John H. Nixon creates inspiring new age electronic music. Identical to fans who admire 7and5 music, the new age electronic albums In A Moment’s Time, Trading Stories & Hope, Destiny, & Choice, have been some of my personal favorite electronica albums for years.

The soon to be released Oceans by 7and5 is the newest collection of 10 new age electronic songs. Oceans ascends to new heights by an increase in dynamic energy, a characteristic quality that first began my admiration for 7and5 music.

Oceans by 7and5 is a new age electronic album due to be released next week on June 19, 2012. After listening to Oceans over and over again this week, the 10 vibrant songs on Oceans easily made my favorite album list in the new age electronic/chill out/techno category. Plus, I can tell you the cinematic qualities of 7and5 music generates excitement that never grows old, and the songs on Oceans advance an already present characteristic of quality music made for the cinema.

7and5 albums are a source of admiration for new age artists, and music recording giants David and Steve Gordon of Sequoia Records. A favorite artist with David and Steve too, the quality minded Gordon Brothers selected 7and5 songs for their Sequoia Records compilation albums Celtic Lounge 3, Buddha Lounge 6 & Buddha Groove 5.

The Weather Channel, with millions of television viewers nationwide is a place where 7and5 songs have been some of the best music to make their popular playlists over the years. Undersail by Steve Orchard –Tribute Music to Titanic.

With the 100 year anniversary of the RMS Titanic launch and foundering approaching, it is only natural Steve Orchard’s tribute music to Titanic called Undersail, is an interesting collection of new songs to sample.

Once I began listening to the 12 tribute songs based on the legendary ocean liner Titanic, it didn’t take long to discover Undersail is by all accounts, the inaugural launch of another admirable 2012 new music release from new age artist Steve Orchard.

Steve Orchard from Bristol, England is famous for his ability to produce electronic and instrumental music with creative imagination. After writing reviews about his 3 album Trilogy Series, I can say Steve Orchard’s tribute music of Titanic give rise to reflect the dream-like qualities of relaxing yet energetic melodies he is known to produce, time and again.

Undersail is a beautiful music tribute to the story of Titanic, which once began as a dream, born of creative inspiration. Produced at his home studio in England, Steve created Undersail using Roland keyboards, electric and acoustic guitars with special effects made with a Korg synthesizer. I thought some songs like In Titanic’s Wake, God Speed & Full Astern are reminiscent to epic soundtrack music of film composer Vangelis, like the cinematic songs Ghost Ships, Dead Calm & Port Home.

Steve Orchard is a prolific singer songwriter who has composed a great collection of original new music throughout his lifetime. This newest dreamy music collection continues the tradition of capturing the imagination while achieving universal appeal.

Steve Orchard’s tribute music to Titanic isn’t expected to surpass the 30 million copies sold with Academy Award winning James Horner’s best-selling movie soundtrack score Titanic: Music from the Motion Picture, but Steve Orchard’s Undersail is a beautiful new compliment to the legendary “ship of dreams” forever christened Titanic.

On April 15, 2012, Undersail will be released as mp3 downloads and CD album on the 100th anniversary of Titanic’s sinking. Visit SteveOrchardMusic.co.uk to sample and purchase or visit ADMusicOnline.com, and popular online music stores. Below is the YouTube song video entitled Ghost Ships. Around 30 seconds into the sample song video, there is fascinating archival footage of the true historical landmark, Titanic. Photos are courtesy steveorchardmusic.co.uk.

RMS Titanic facts: The maiden voyage began in Southampton England, en-route to New York City April 10, 1912. The Olympic-class ocean liner, with a port of registry in Liverpool, England was owned by White Star Line and foundered in the North Atlantic around 2:00 am on April 15, 1912. The actual music of Titanic played at the time of sinking is undetermined, but believed to contain the hymn Nearer, My God, to Thee.

José Luis Serrano Esteban is a composer from Spain releasing A New Horizon, (Un Nuevo Horizonte) an adventurous blend of classical and electronic rock music. Like much of Esteban’s instrumental guitar music I sampled, his electronic and acoustic guitar songs are relaxing melodies that introduce a picturesque representation across a scenic new horizon.

A New Horizon features 14 songs in a classical merge of electronic rock music in a representation like epic band Tangerine Dream, in his changing scores of over 100 popular music themes. Esteban has studied classical guitar and electronic music over the years before producing his first album Dreamland in 2002. Composer Esteban is the second Spanish musician who has signed with Landscape TV, an audio visual media station in the UK called Landscape HD productions.

José Luis Serrano Esteban’s first new age video will be released near the end of 2011. Along with his own recordings, Esteban is a guitar player and synthesizer programmer in other artist’s CDs and visual music productions too, having produced numerous scores for commercials, demo tapes, and music scores for television documentaries.

On A New Horizon, some pieces were performed with the help of the fine artists Nacho Serrano (Bass and 12 string acoustic guitar), Nuria Felix (Violin), Santiago Puente (Clarinet), Gloria Esteban (Flute) and Covadonga Serrano (Piano). The song video of Further Than The Milky Way shows images from the European Space Agency/Hubble Space Telescope.

Tribute to Vangelis by Christophe Lebled.

Jon Anderson and Vangelis are names you will recognize, but haven’t you ever wondered who the contributing artists are on some of Jon Anderson’s releases? Today I want to tell you about a career musician who has performed on album collaborations with Jon, but also has many fine releases of his own, including his Tribute to Vangelis which in itself is a commendable piece of music and fine compliment to the intricate works of Vangelis.

Christophe Lebled contributed on the famed Yes singer, Jon Anderson’s newest release Survival & Other Stories by performing his rich instrumental soundscapes. And there is more news about the two since Jon has again requested Christophe collaborate on a brand new project in 2012.

Their newest project is a re-creation of the entire LP Olias of Sunhillow – Live in 2012. The original Olias of Sunhillow release incidentally was Jon Anderson’s first solo album where he played every instrument and sang entirely by himself.

Jon Anderson who had joined with Vangelis years ago going by the musician title Jon & Vangelis had this to say about Christophe Lebled’s release Tribute to Vangelis;

“It has been almost impossible to find a musician who can make music as Vangelis does, and here we have Chris Lebled, a wonderful music man very capable of morphing into many styles of music, and sound very unique at the same time. I have a wonderful energy with Chris, and feel blessed to enjoy a rich working relationship.” Jon Anderson.

Christophe Lebled from France, (left in photo) began training on classical piano and then keyboards when he discovered progressive rock music, and the most influential and popular artists of the time period which, as you might have guessed were Jon Anderson of Yes and band Genesis. Their influence in music during this time period cannot be overstated.

During the 1980’s when new wave was popular Christophe instead chose the direction of jazz and took up formal studies of harmony and arranging at the American School of Modern Music. Studying with artists Barry Harris and Kenny Baron, he began to develop his uniquely individual touch of composing.

Christophe then intermixed a new cultural sound to his repertoire and entered the world of Latin music during the 1990’s in Paris France. It was during this period the Voxterrae label, discovered his talents and enlisted him on several projects like No Stress, Be Natural, Pure, and many others. Christophe Lebled’s first release in his own name was About Us, and later Tribute to Vangelis.

Tribute to Vangelis is Christophe Lebled’s original interpretation that not only re-creates the sound of Vangelis, but rivals him in some areas on his release. While keeping the same melody and harmony structures, the sound and atmosphere is uniquely his own but a masterful re-creation in the graceful sound of Vangelis. Until Jon and Christophe’s 2012 venture together – Olias of Sunhillow is released to the public, check out Christophe’s site and his music.

Steve Orchard is a New Age musician from the UK releasing the third album from his Dancer Trilogy Series.  With this sequential album, a bold and thoughtful design in dancing rhythms, along with lively choreographed melodies entice ones imagination exactly like the first and second in series were envisioned.

Moondancer is the conclusive result in his highly imaginative Dancer Trilogy Series, reaching a point where it couldn’t get any better than what I have heard so far with the first two.  Then again, it becomes clear Steve reaches for the stars on the rhythmic dancer series featuring earthly qualities of rain, sun and moon elements.

Steve Orchard from Bristol, England is quite masterful at producing electronic instrumental music composed with improvised mood sensations and a progressive repertoire of lively rhythms.  If you have read our interview or earlier album reviews you know that Steve Orchard is a prolific singer songwriter having composed and performed original music for many years on guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, various skin drums, piano and keyboards.  His music was featured on BBC Radio, film scores, local radio jingles, plus Steve was a band member in 100’s of concert venues and a recognized soloist in South West & London England during the 1990′s.

Drawing inspiration from the natural environment, Steve’s first in series Raindancer is based in a tropical soundscape where beautiful South American rhythms are explored with flutes, panpipes, acoustic guitars, keyboards percussion, along with a wonderful array of elements by synthesizer.

Sundancer is an emblematic second album in Steve Orchard’s Trilogy Series, and like the first album, the second reflects rare qualities of relaxing yet energetic melodies that I felt achieve universal appeal.  In fact the energetic symmetry, illuminating atmosphere and Island music impression did help him win several music awards.

Moondancer is the twilight and glowing counterpoint keeping well in contrast to the first two albums, but I do want to point out that Moondancer is far from being a boring or lull you to sleep album.  Here again you will find radiant melodic imagery right beside a natural and reposeful atmosphere, and this is where an emphasis on the dancer suffix comes into play.

Counting Stars begins the twilight sequence of the series with a light keyboard melody set in a deeper background and like Apollo’s Return, mysterious imagery is not the prevalent consequence with this first song, or the entire album as a whole.  Moondancer is carried out with a deeper contrast in style as the moon prefix implies, yet is very complimentary to the first two albums sunnier atmosphere so you will find this album preserves many of the same rhythmic qualities which are an integral part of the entire dancer series.

Phases & Tides, Nebula and Grimaldis Comet are three songs that help make this distinction clear since bongo drums and other percussion enhancements gently counterbalance deeper keyboard tones, infusing shades of light which in turn introduce a more illuminating atmosphere.  The soft flute melody in moderately timed Nocturne creates an interesting contrast when combined with the twinkling effect by keyboard.  Lost Contact has a deep futuristic feel by the dreamy keyboard and synthesizer tones while Earth Glue adheres to the counterbalance theme by a wood flute melody and percussion woodblock beats, and the intermittent chanting does convey a strong ethnic influence too.

NewAgeMusicWorld.com features many outstanding musicians who are all are capable of producing mood elevating music to either help you relax and unwind, brighten your day or even inspire you by notes that seem to dance.  The Dancer Trilogy Series from Steve Orchard is an all-inclusive colorful kaleidoscope of vibrant melodies, and this latest is no exception.  It is lively music rhythms in step with a wonderful radiant design.

Composing musician Paul Sills of the United Kingdom has a celestial New Age album composed from a brand new viewpoint in his already skillful approach to celestial music.  It now appears Paul has taken his new arrangement to the next level, and like earlier perceptive albums, Devas – Natures Spirit becomes his third release that in no shape, form or fashion could ever be termed commonplace.

Devas – Natures Spirits is the third great album written, performed and produced by MG Music label artist Paul Sills and by all accounts, Devas is a thoughtful departure from his second Walking Across Heaven release which created a beautiful sound sanctuary where instrumentals of piano, flute, acoustic guitar, and distant choral vocals rose to transform each song into one having an anthem like quality.

Paul Sills is a long standing MG Music Label artist and representative member of the Medwyn Goodall circle of friends, highly revered for their outstanding music and singular expression each label artist is known for producing, and again he has proven this to be true for the third time around.

Astral Doorways was Paul’s imaginative first endeavor exploring the divine and surreal side of music.  All three are powerful albums, symbolic of the outer confines in synthesized ambient music that simply become a natural choice for those who love a memorable journey into the vast territories of electronic resonances while residing in a deeper realm in relaxing music.

Paul Sills and I had a recent interview and insightful discussion together on his early music career and life at MG Music, so I hope you will want to find out more about Paul at our websites.  Many visitors know I have published reviews on both of his earlier albums essentially because I enjoy listening to his intensely divine brand of electronic music that consistently has a dreamy keyboard based melody and prominent celestial atmosphere.

Devas – Natures Spirits with 12 songs total is precisely what I had anticipated and had hoped to experience from this Medwyn Goodall label artist recognized for producing Electronic ambient music that is by definition, wonderfully unique and singular in style when placed alongside many of his counterparts in the electronic music category.

First song Sacred Waters is the gentle inception to a deeper Dolphina, where piano and percussion parts reproduce the familiar Paul Sills expressive touch many of us have come to appreciate.  Tidal sounds mark the gentle layering of acoustic guitar strums mixed with piano intervals in Memories Of The Ocean and the steady piano rhythms mixed with dreamy electronic modulations on Footprints In The Mist are likewise a wonderful reflection.

A Sketch Of Spring contains a truly exciting transformation in composition which originates with the lighter melody before a keyboard sequence modification in the arrangement reveals a fascinating cascade of piano runs and half step key changes in both lower and upper octaves, modifying this piece into one of majestic design.

Choosing a broad pathway along his journey in nature inspired celestial music, this newest release from Paul Sills resides at a comfortable plateau in ambience, where deep orchestrations incorporated with light melodies and rhythms admirably blend into a pleasingly dreamy atmosphere.  Paul by definition, has singularly created a deeper realm in sound, far beyond the commonplace methodology in what we regularly hear and experience from top producers of celestial music.

Chances are everyone reading my pre-release Truth Of Touch album review today is well acquainted with the man we identify simply as Yanni, and if you are like most people you can vividly recall the very first time you viewed a televised Yanni concert.  Now, can’t you just remember the exhilaration of watching this charismatic gentleman touch the lives of people of all nationalities with his music?

Truth Of Touch is truly a passionate reflection of what Yanni does best which is create a personal interaction with an audience through his extraordinary music abilities. And just like those powerful memories of yesteryear as many of you may remember, the close societal bond is shared in contemporary times by virtue of his magnificent studio version of 15 songs with an over hour long symphony of refined harmony.

Truth Of Touch is a Contemporary Instrumental & Electronic arrangement likewise creating a genuine fascination for a multitude of people by being an original composition and direct expression from Yanni himself.  This enthusiasm is not surprising since his last original arrangement Ethnicity from 2003 is an excellent and successful album.

It may explain why Truth Of Touch is highly anticipated among his enthusiastic fan base, along with a vast multitude of people who consistently search for outstanding music that greatly surpasses the everyday ordinary.

Yanni is conceivably the greatest influential musician of our time. While his exceptional abilities as a gifted composer and keyboardist by themselves are a valid testament to his universal appeal, when you factor in the remarkable musicians and vocalists by his side and personal “One World, One People“ vision, the collective inspiration pay tribute to a universal and heartfelt music experience.

Yanni Live at the Acropolis began his historic rise to stardom and likely the first time you witnessed his grand entrance onto the world stage since 500 million people from 65 countries have viewed this top fundraising program for PBS.  The album sold 7 million copies worldwide and the music video sold over 1 million copies to become a top selling music video, second only to the Thriller Video by the late Michael Jackson.

If you regularly watch the Olympic Games then you know his music scores are presented during international television broadcasts of the Olympic Games since 1988.  He has 35 platinum and gold albums and received 2 GRAMMY® Nominations in the Best New Age Album category, for In My Time and then Dare to Dream. Perhaps of greater importance to Yanni himself are his fans, since after a temporary departure Yanni made a celebrated return to concert tours and producing music due in part to the personal letters from his dedicated fan base requesting encore performances.

In fact his global presence has remained strong following the earlier days where over 2 million people in over 20 countries attended a Yanni concert, some of which were held in culturally significant locations like the Tribute Concert venues held at the Taj Mahal in India and The Forbidden City in China, where viewership reached a television audience of 250 million people.

Truth Of Touch can be defined by the contemporary instrumental, electronic and cinematic influences, but what makes this new release special like earlier albums are a wide array of influences, crossing over into popular, new age and world music domains too.  Truth Of Touch ( Title Song ) begins a memorable introduction to a lavish cascade of midrange keyboard and string sequences set in time to energetic orchestration crescendos and intense timpani drum beats, giving you your first positive affirmation this is indeed an authentic composition from Yanni.  The boldly decisive first song is satisfying to the senses by the majestic intonation, and this is true again regarding the reverberation keyboard melody united with higher octave twinkling notes heard in Echo Of A Dream.

Seasons has a lighter keyboard sequence at the onset, changing in dramatic fashion during every refrain by articulated electronics, strings and xylophone notes.  Backed by rhythmic heartbeat percussion, Seasons progresses into a heartening song of inspiration.  Voyage is a fine excursion reaching epic qualities at times where the lighter prelude is forerunner to a spectacular sound adventure created by strings and woodwind orchestration.  Suspended by steady percussion beats, the full instrumentation creates a wonderful sensation of depth.

The World ethnicity percussion rhythms and accents with ever changing intervals of harp and cello create a beautiful tribal effect in Flash Of Color, and true again by the voice of a child set in instrumental counter time during I’m So.  Pronounced orchestra and percussion rhythms are a bold source of vibrant energy presented in the upbeat melodic theme of Vertigo.  The vocal melodies on Can’t Wait and Secret are definitively two of the more serene songs on the album.  Elegant and passionate, the soprano vocalist delivers her romantic lyrics in a graceful emotive voice which is certain to be a popular collection of contemporary songs for many people.

O Luce Che Brilla Nell’Oscurita is exquisitely imaginative given the theatrical piano, light choir and opera concerto in a harmonious adaptation where the tenor vocalist proclaims his warm and moving declaration of sentiment direct from the heart.

Long Way Home has an air of sophistication yet the vigorous piano melody has a peaceful atmosphere at times too, changing from light to more dynamic expressions along the way.  Mist Of A Kiss reveals intricate percussion rhythms having a steadfast effect in the timing of piano chord phrasing, like the piano and percussion cadence heard in the song NineYanni & Arturo begins with a light trumpet and piano prelude while transitioning into exuberant poetry in motion when glorious soprano vocals and intricate percussion rhythms set the progressive tempo for an improvisational style trumpet solo during which the highest octave notes are reached then extended with astounding precision and clarity.

Truth Of Touch is a studio composition of pure refinement, giving one a beautiful impression exactly like the inspiring concert recollections of yesteryear.  The prodigious caliber of musicians Yanni enlists for his projects is boldly demonstrated on what I feel is his greatest instrumental music composition yet.  Perhaps you can tell by now his newest release made me reflect on the personal exhilaration I first felt upon my introduction to his music, and it did inspire me today.  With that said, I am certain you too will find the qualities in Truth Of Touch are genuine, unforgettable and yes, simply Yanni!
